Anxiety

Anxiety is one of the most powerful emotions we can feel. It protects us from harm, and its intention is to keep us safe. Anxiety typically results in four primary responses: fight, flight, faint and freeze. While fear is meant to keep us alive, it can also keep us from living. Fear survives on avoidance; avoidance of the things that makes us anxious. Unfortunately, the more we avoid the more we fear. Thus, therapy focuses on helping you face your fears (through scientifically validated approaches). While the principles of treating anxiety are fundamentally simple, they are rarely easy. That is where we can help. We will help you live a life that is not fear-driven, but goal-driven. We will help you to find your personal strengths which can enable you to live a life of courage and passion.

We provide evidence-based treatments that meet the gold-standard of care. We will tailor these approaches to your needs, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy (ET, ERP) and more. We will provide a warm and collaborative approach to reducing your symptoms as quickly as possible.
